Even before the first “modern humans” began to colonize the Americas around 15,000 years ago, pre-modern humans were huddling around fire pits as far back as 1 million years ago! Today, instead of congregating around a fire pit, meetings of all types, and for all reasons, are had around tables of all shapes and sizes. From board rooms, to picnic tables, as a species, we communicate best when we’re in groups, face-to-face. The future of collaborative design and construction is centered around augmented reality experiences, and around tables, where small groups of stakeholders can efficiently and effectively address the challenges of their projects, in new innovative ways, using technology and tools to expedite the process of identifying and implementing solutions.
